Evaluation of shoot day

 1.     The day before the shoot we went to get the missing instruments and the microphone from the music tech rooms after that I had to blow a massive amount of Balloons for the hungry hippos competition scene. I also had to add something on the poster for the competition ( the 13 th ), on tMonday the 22.11.2021 I sorted the our band members outfits out ( with the 3 Bwebb people during prep)

2.     I was very excited for the shoot because It seemed like a lot of fun.

3.     I was really good prepared and I just had to do everyone’s hair and make up.

4.     Before we designed our set the only thing that was there were the lights so we had to carry all the stuff from the tent into the studio. For the gym set I had to lay the wooden floor out. And carry some stuff in again together with the others.

5.     We didn’t really divide the roles properly but I did a lkot of the filming but also directing, I did the costume + make up.

6.     I feel like I did well in general just because I helped with everything possible and was very involved in the hole shooting.

7.     To be fair we didn’t really have any big problems the only thing was that we were behind 30 minutes but matt helped us to finish on time.

8.     I feel like the hole shoot was very successful

9.     If I had to choose one then it would be the working out part but there isn’t a lot to complain about eighter I  just can’t really imagine 100% what  it is going to look like.

10.  Our actors for the band were really good and into it same as Beau/ the working out guy, and also for the last scene I was very happy that we were able to have Elodie( Stuart’s daughter) in the scene because it made the hole narrative even funnier.

11.  I think I enjoyed the band part the most because of the music which made everyone happy and motivated.

12.  I am just looking forward to see the finished music video and how the 3 scenes look cut together

13.  I think that our group worked well together because we all got our different strengths.

14.  There isn’t really something I learned to improve it the next time but that I really enjoy the production of music videos and I even might think about doing something like this in my future.

Risk Assessment

Broadly speaking, a risk assessment is the combined effort of:

  1. identifying and analysing potential (future) events that may negatively impact individuals, assets, and/or the environment, and
  2. making judgments "on the tolerability of the risk on the basis of a risk analysis" while considering influencing factors (i.e. risk evaluation)

Put in simpler terms, a risk assessment determines possible mishaps, their likelihood and consequences, and the tolerances for such events.
The results of this process may be expressed in a quantitative or qualitative fashion. Risk assessment is an inherent part of a broader risk management strategy to help reduce any potential risk-related consequences.

Developing idea 18th - 25th November

 DEVELOPMENT

In todays lesson we had to find a replace for our lead singer max because he tested positive for COVID.

We listed 4 people who would fit in and send it to Phil now we have to wait for an answer as he is going to choose which one is the right one and also not in an other music video yet.

for the costumes they are going to wear leather jackets and denim jackets to make it look like a rock band then they are going to wear jeans and some of them bottom down shirts+ bandanas and two of them will wear wigs.

After we got the confirmation for Roualeyn Alford being in our music video I sorted the outfits for the three people in our music video out we spent the prep time trying to find good outfits which we did the turned out very successful.

we sorted all the things out we needed for the shoot like hair gel bandannas and many other things

Digipack

ALEX  CREATED A DIGIPACK  IDEA FOR OUR MUSIC VIDEO
(obviously this is just a idea and we are going to take photos and create our own Digipack)

we are going to take a photo of our band standing like this because we think it looks cool how they stand there and feel like it is going to attract people ,,to buy'' it.

on the back we thought it would look cool if we just list all the songs

The internet

Domestication of Technology

many technologies including hardware (eg cameras) and software (eg programmes) have become more ' domesticised' over the years.

This means they have become more easily available at a lower cost, to every day people in their homes, rather than just being available for richer producers in professional companies.

Tapscott and Williams

In their book Wikinomics : How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything, Don Tapscott and Anthony D. Williams coined the related term of presumption (production/consumption) to refer to the creation of products and services by the same people who will ultimately use them. The book states criteria that increase the value of prosumers' participation such as openness, sharing, peering and globalising.

 Growth of the prosumer

The growing low cost availability of convergent technologies eg mobile phones, has meant that many every day people are now able to make/ produce their own media content and distribute it online.

So ANYONE can become famous for ANYTHING

Example;

They make parodies of existing tv shows

for example the company of stranger things reached out to them and gave them opportunity to use their set up.
positives:
- if people watch these they might want to watch stranger things because the storyline still seems very interesting
- parodies are a humorous or iconic information of its source.

negatives:
-some people might find it cringe and do not wanna watch it anymore
-basically it seems like they make fun about it

Therefor if it is positive or negative is  50/50.

Editing workshop ( Editing a Music Video)

Today we had a workshop with Matt where we learned how to edit a Music Video.

To start editing a Music Video we were reminded of how to drag the rushes out of the project window which is on the bottom left on the screen onto the timeline and then view the cutting process on the video screen linked to the timeline which is displayed just above it.

Then he taught us a simple process we should follow step by step when we edit our music video to be efficient with our time.

1. Cut the performance together first- refers particularly to music videos with a band since the instrumental performance is a key aspect of their persona and selling point.

2. Do the narrative cut second- go through the performance cut and break it up by dropping in cuts of the storyline. For us this was particularly relevant as the storyline and performances coexist but are drastically different, our narrative is simple yet we can get a lot out of it and therefore we can integrate the material easily without worrying about the video being too long winded and dull.

3. Do the effects work after the video is cut together- Matt said that we most likely will not be needing a lot  effects but perhaps some text is useful.

4. Finally, colour the image if need be. It was mentioned that we should not make the mistake of colour correcting the rushes beforehand, as a lot of footage may not be used. To be efficient therefore this should come at the end of the process.
